IAH Sponsorship
IAH operates a scheme where members in higher income countries can sponsor a professional colleague in a developing country, who would otherwise be unable to afford the subscription. The scheme is entirely voluntary, and several individual IAH members in the UK have kindly joined the scheme as sponsors. To find out more about how the scheme works and how you can become a sponsor, go to the IAH sponsorship page here.
The British National Chapter as a body sponsors the membership of nine people, in the following countries: Nigeria, Albania, Ethiopia, Bulgaria, Kenya, Indonesia, Tanzania and Bolivia. The sponsorship is very much appreciated, as can be seen from the following quotes:
"This is a very good occasion for me to heartedly thank the British National Chapter for the support of my long IAH membership...the Hydrogeology Journal encouraged me to participate in different conferences and congresses where over the last 6 years I have presented some papers."
"Let me first express my heartfelt appreciation for the support that I have enjoyed from the British National Chapter by maintaining my IAH membership. The articles in the Hydrogeology Journal have greatly helped me especially in undertaking academic assignments here at the University and for mentoring other students from around the world in the field of hydrogeology."
"Thank you for my supported membership...the articles published in the Hydrogeology Journal are useful not only for me but also for my young colleagues working at my Institute."
